About
After many years as a certified Information Technology project manager in several corporations, I had a strong calling to do more meaningful and purposeful work and started Maria Latimore Group. My consulting practice leverages the substantial skills and knowledge that I’ve developed throughout a career spanning high tech, health insurance and financial services to help nonprofits to more efficiently implement projects to increase organizational capacity.
As a child growing up in Roxbury I benefited from nonprofit community programs through which I attended summer school at the Winsor School and a pre-engineering program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. These experiences exposed me to many options and changed my life. They helped me to understand the tremendous impact that nonprofit organizations have on individuals and the larger community.
It’s important and personal for me to now apply my toolset to make a difference in the community by helping nonprofit organizations to increase the efficiency of their service delivery and realize their missions to help others.
I am a PMP certified project manager with over 30 years of experience planning and executing successful projects and programs that help organizations reach their full potential and achieve excellence. I apply my comprehensive knowledge and skills, build trusting work relationships and communicate effectively to help organizations achieve excellence.
